The Sun says Blue Story was banned in Vue and Showcase cinemas because 100 thugs armed with machetes and knives crashed its opening evening on Friday, November 22nd. The film showed gang warfare and therefore showed the audience such violent behaviour.
The police said that the film causes issues such as harming others.
The article says the film has a negative effect on teenagers because it encouraged gang culture and violence to the general public.

The arguments against Blue Story being banned as part of national moral panic about the content of the film were the attacks only happened in some areas but they banned it everywhere and in hundreds of cinemas.
Our own POV: I don't think the film should have been banned just the people who brought weapons to the cinemas should be arrested for ruining it for other people.
