Key terms Revision

Conglomerate - Company which owns smaller companies - Disney.

Synergy - When you choose the most efficient method of marketing using your subsidiaries to maximise success of a brand or a product. cross promotion cross branding maximises efficiency. - Sound track for a film, Merchandise.

Horizontal integration- When a company can promote using their subsidiaries across different media sectors.

Mise-En-Scene - A production technique. French term 'Everything in frame' - location, props, costume, lighting, colour, blocking, characters, makeup, acting/gestures.

Continuity Editing - Invisible editing. Not meant to notice the editing, makes it more fluid. 

Panning - Turning the camera to the left or right, shows the audience movement of the characters.

Distribution - When a company releases a product to the audience or marketing - Disney has Disney+

Composition - Apart of camerawork and framing. How we film something, getting the right connotations, rule of thirds
